Deacon Jones
    Biography

  

     Deacon co-founded Baby Huey and the Baby Sitters from 1961 to 1969, after which he joined Curtis Mayfield in 1969 until 1972. He was invited to join Freddie King in the fall of 1972 until Freddie’s death in December of 1976. In 1978 he joined John Lee Hooker until 1996. He started branching out on his own in 1993, when he became a special guest of  Argentina’s superstar  PAPPO.

 

 

 

 During his 40 year career he has played with legends such as: Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Carlos Santana,

Noel Redding, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Mick Fleetwood. Johny Clyde Copeland  just to name a few.!

 

      He has also worked for or recorded with the following Superstar Artists: Elvin Bishop, Eddie Money, Lester Chambers, Dr.John, Gregg Allman, Buddy Miles, Albert Collins, Robert CrayHank Ballard, Marva Wright, Freddie King, Benny Turner, Harold Jones, Katie Webster and Lydia Pense .

 

Deacon has released a new album " Jonesen for Money " and is currently on a Promotional Book Tour.!.
